Searching for a lost pet? We know that can be very stressful! Please view the lost or stray animals here at the Houston SPCA.
The Houston SPCA has lost or stray animals in our care after being rescued by our 24/7 injured animal ambulance or found by a concerned citizen and brought to the Houston SPCA. *If you have a found animal, we ask that you please call 713-869-7722 and make an appointment before coming to our campus.
If you believe your lost pet is at the Houston SPCA, please visit us at 900 Portway Drive, Houston, TX 77024 so that you can make a positive ID in person. You will need to bring proof of ownership such as veterinary records, photos, microchip information, etc. If you do not see your lost pet on our website, we encourage you to check other area shelters, especially the tax-funded, municipal animal control facilities, at least every other day. Many of the other cities in our region have individual animal control facilities. Please note that this is not a complete list:
We also encourage you to register with and utilize PiP My Pet and Finding Rover to help you in the search for your lost pet. Both free apps use facial recognition technology to help reunite lost pets with their families.
We wish you the best in the search for your missing pet!
Intervening on behalf of nearly 50,000 animals in need each year is an expensive endeavor, and your generous donation today will help further our mission. Donating to the Houston SPCA is an investment in your community because your entire donation is used locally to benefit the animals of our area.
