Bring Your Classroom to the Houston SPCA
Youth Volunteer Program
The Youth Volunteer Program is only open to organized school groups such as honor societies, animal clubs, or individual classrooms and are subject to availability. Once a month, we offer students in Grade 7 and up the opportunity to volunteer at the Houston SPCA from Noon - 2:30 p.m. Only one group can sign up each month, and is limited to 20 students. Each group will also be required to bring at least one adult chaperone for every five students attending. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
Classes have the opportunity to visit the Houston SPCA, and meet some of the hardworking, professional staff and volunteers as well as tour the new Campus For All Animals. Field trips are available to students from 2nd grade through 12th grade. They are scheduled Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The maximum number of students per field trip is 40, with a minimum of 3 adult chaperones. The cost of a field trip is $5 per student.
