HPD Southeast Division and Houston SPCA Will Provide Free Pet Food Today

Drive-Through Pick Up for Pet Owners in Need

(HOUSTON) March 4, 2021 – The Houston Police Department and Houston SPCA will be providing free dog and cat food today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2206 Emancipation Ave. Houston, TX 77003 located in south Houston near Third Ward. Pet owners can stay in their cars and drive through while volunteers from HPD and Houston SPCA place bags of dog and cat food into their cars.

The pet food is provided by Hill’s Pet Nutrition as well as community donations to help pet owners provide essential nutrition for their canines and felines. The winter freeze left many Houstonians in dire need of supplies, including pet food. The free pet food distribution by HPD and Houston SPCA is a joint effort to help meet that critical need.

Want to Help? Drop off dry or canned pet food anytime under Houston SPCA’s big blue tent located at 7007 Old Katy Road, Houston, 77024. Those donations will be distributed by community partners, including HPD, BakerRipley, and Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM). Follow @HoustonSPCA on social or visit www.houstonspca.org.
