Houston SPCA Will Host Open House on July 3

Saturday, July 3, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m

HOUSTON (June 22, 2021) – The animal rescue and protection organization is hosting its first Open House since 2019 on Saturday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where animal lovers can adopt a new furry feline or cuddly canine, and spend the afternoon exploring the Houston’s SPCA’s Campus for All Animals with fun-filled activities and events including:

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Free balloon animals for kids (or while supplies last)
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Free snow cones from Kona Ice (one per guest, while supplies last)
1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Free cotton candy (one per guest, or while supplies last)
1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Live Wildlife Chat, lobby of Wildlife Center of Texas
2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Live Barn Chat at the Equine and Farm Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Center located at the Houston SPCA.

The Adoption Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 3. The first 30 dogs adopted on July 3 will receive a one-month supply of Hill’s Science Diet Dog Food. The first 30 cats adopted that day will receive a one-month supply of cat litter.

Adoptions are open daily Monday through Thursday from Noon – 7 p.m.; Friday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Masks are required to enter the Adoption Center and social distancing is encouraged.
